Turned daily phone calls into a rules-based system hospital staff could run themselves.

Post-surgery cardiology follow-up ran on daily phone calls. Expensive, didn't scale, and depended on whoever was available that day rather than what the patient actually needed.
The hard part wasn't the patient-facing survey. It was the tool administrators used to build one. Non-technical hospital staff needed to set up targeting logic ("send this to patients 3 days post-op with condition X") without ever having to think of it as logic. We designed the interface around plain-language conditions and a live preview, so people could trust what they built before it reached real patients.
I directed the design team and worked directly with the cardiology clinical team to get real post-surgical protocol into the rules engine correctly, and with engineering to make sure what administrators thought they were promising actually matched what the system could guarantee. Getting that mismatched would have meant patients quietly falling through the cracks.
Replaced daily manual phone calls with automated surveys that routed themselves to the right patients and fed data straight into the system. Built for cardiology first, with room to extend to other service lines.
