Tendo Clinician
The clinician-facing side of Tendo Patient, built to fit inside a shift, not fight it.
Clinicians were being asked to document more, for accurate billing and comorbidity capture, without getting more time in the day. Anything that added friction would just get ignored at the bedside.
I had the team ground the work in real clinical encounters, not a workflow diagram's version of one. That gave us a hard rule for every decision: does this fit inside the time a clinician already has, or does it add a task? When in doubt, we chose speed and clarity over more features.
This product sat right at the overlap of clinical practice and billing rules, so I directed the designers and researchers on it, and worked directly with clinical advisors to check our workflow assumptions and with the billing team to make sure what we captured actually satisfied coding requirements. Those two sets of needs don't naturally agree, and untangling them was most of the job.
It streamlined clinician-patient communication and care plans, and made the comorbidity data feeding into billing more accurate. Shipped as part of the Tendo suite that was later acquired.
